ECM unlock
The default selection includes the HP Tuners E42 send-in upgrade service. Choose whether to arrange your own outbound shipping or add a prepaid ECM shipping label for $100. The label option covers sending your ECM for this unlock order; return shipping is already included in the service. Your original ECM must be sent in before tuning; a spare or replacement ECM is not accepted. Return shipping of the upgraded ECM is included in the service. Choose “ECM already unlocked” only if your original E42 ECM has already received the required HP Tuners upgrade.
Choosing your package
Single custom tune provides one calibration. All tune levels provides multiple files to flash separately; it is not a shift-on-the-fly switch. Tuning is delivered through HP Tuners TDN. TCM tuning and additional transmission licensing are not included.
Vehicle details and fitment
A valid 17-character VIN is required. Supply your model year, cab/bed configuration, modifications and desired tuning level for order matching. Exhaust selections require the OEM-style four-bolt flange on the turbo direct pipe. Pickup applications only; cab-and-chassis trucks require a separate fitment review. No CAN bypass plugs are included. Existing NOx/DEF modules must remain connected as required by the selected calibration; confirm the setup with the tuner before installation.
